I came across the BBC documentary SuperSlim Me a few days ago. Ironically, I was about to go the gym and ended up watching the whole thing on YouTube. You can find it in six parts, here's the first part -
If you have the time to watch this weekend, go for it. It's interesting to see what happens to someone when she's only consuming 500 calories a day... but I don't think the documentary affected me the way it was intended to. When it was over instead of feeling anger toward the fashion industry and Hollywood I just felt defeated and fat!
For everyone that gets a chance to watch, what do you think?

WOW!! What an eye-opening documentary and quite sad to see what our world has come to. What a sport for putting herself through that..and for what gain...to come out at the end 17 pounds lighter but frankly, tired, isolated, weak and not herself. Lisa, I love your blog because it focuses on HEALTHY eating without eliminating the pleasure of indulging once in a while. People in the public eye have gone overboard and it makes me sad that in order to feel pretty and appreciated they have to starve themselves to a size zero. It's tough going into a store and picking out several sizes that you think might fit and finding that you can't even get them over your thighs...but you know what? It's about being happy and feeling beautiful in your body whether you're a size 3 or a size 16. As a woman with a fair share of curves, I say eat well, love well and be true to yourself...because life is too short to keep track of every calorie and not indulge in the things that make you truly happy!
